The Introduction to Visual Communication course is a series of comprehensive graphic design classes that aim at guiding the student’s perception in the study of the image. This is done through theoretical and practical exercises that will help train the eye to observe the visual world that surrounds us differently and more closely. In so doing, the student will be given the tools to start to comprehend all the aspects of visual signs, space-format, the relation between these two (composition), and the desired objective: the communication of a message with clarity and beauty.
In due course, having developed an understanding of different visual signs and how they relate to the space or composition to convey a specific message, the student will be able to cultivate a deeper study into the structure of signs and will be able to create graphic forms independently.
